Custom 3 color wool blanket representing accurate topographic lines and the iconic lakes of the Lake Tahoe region in California and Nevada. To celebrate this national treasure we partner with Pendleton Woolen Mills to manufacture this exclusive, iconic blanket here in Oregon.

Learn more about our Tahoe design and inspiration here.

Sitting calm as the largest alpine lake in North America, Lake Tahoe sinks to 1,645 feet deep, stretches 22 miles long and 12 miles wide. Only the second deepest lake in America her waters are crystal clear and her shoreline stretches nearly 75 miles long. With nearly 36.15 cubic miles of water in Lake Tahoe there is enough water to cover a flat area the size of California with 14 inches of water.

Our blanket covers over 1,000 sq miles of some of the most inspiring terrain in the country and celebrates the iconic Lake Tahoe in a brilliant blue with bathymetric lines showing her spectacular depth. The front and back of the blanket are inverse of each other with this age old weaving process.

The clean air and water are the keys to the Lake's spectacular blue color. The clarity of the water allows you to see over 70 feet deep, although the clarity of this lake is diminishing with pressure on the natural filtering systems. Our 1% partnership with The League to Save the Lake, keeptahoeblue.org,  helps to support the teams working to protect this national treasure.

The art also celebrates the topography of the mountains of the Lake Tahoe region, stretching from Mt. Rose at the North to Mt. Tallac at the south. Home to over 14 ski resorts, breathtaking backcountry and many lakes the entire Lake Tahoe region is a year round sanctuary.

We designed our blanket to work with Pendleton's jacquard weaving process. The wool is sourced from the highest quality sheep and is processed, dyed, and finished from end to end by Pendleton in the Pacific Northwest.

Using a 3 color weaving process the jacquard weaving loom creates this vibrant blanket. This process produces the inverse of the design on the back of the blanket.

We are in the development stages now and will open up for limited preorders this summer for delivery by the end of November 2020. Preorder now to reserve your blanket for holiday.

Individually packaged in a custom North box and wrapped in a card sleeve. A key to the colors and geologic features of the mountain is printed on the back of the card.
