Custom wood coasters featuring topographic data of the Hakkoda Mountains on the Northern end of the Honshu island of Japan. This iconic hiking and backcountry skiing destination in the Aomori Prefecture, Japan is outlined by the set of roads that create access to this amazing region. Set of 2 coasters of laser-cut birch ply with a cork backer. Made in USA and packaged in custom muslin bag.

Each coaster includes the 10 peaks in the Northern group of mountains in the region. The outline of the coaster is made by the series of roads circling the peaks which give many points of access for unlimited backcountry adventures year round. Each coaster set is packaged and is proudly made in the USA. 

The Hakkoda Mountains are known for its deep powder and snow monster trees in the winter and breathtaking foliage in the spring, summer and fall. The volcanic geology of the region creates an abundance of hot springs home to many iconic Onsens for warming up after a deep day in the mountains. Access to the high alpine by the Hakkoda Ropeway spanning 2,459.7 M (over 1.5 miles) delivers truly unique access to these mountains.
