What truly sets these Heavy Bottom glasses apart is the meticulous artistry. Every glass is handmade by our most experienced glassblowers, the process to create each is extraordinarily demanding and requires three times the amount of time and precision as our standard glasses.
It takes more than 20 steps over the course of 2 days to make just one of these glasses. This complex process offers some beautiful handmade variations and imperfections.
The imperfections of these heavy glasses invoke the spirit of the Japanese term "wabi-sabi" which is the art of finding beauty in imperfection. Every Heavy Bottom glass we make is truly one of a kind. Each is packaged in a custom wooden tube with a black leather wrap closure.
The product name is a trademark of North Drinkware LLC and the design covered by a range of patents.
