Our glass features Mt. Adams rounding out our Washington Collection and is well known not just for its impressive altitude at 12,280 ft, but also for its deep spiritual and cultural significance to the Yakama people. According to indigenous legends, Mt. Adams, known as Pahto, was once involved in a fiery battle with neighboring Mt. St. Helens, hurling molten rocks in a jealous feud over the beautiful Mt. Hood. This age-old tale passed down by the tribes depicts Pahto as a symbol of strength and endurance in the face of adversity.
Every Mt. Adams glass gives back - we will donate 1% of our sales to the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation for all of our Pahto products.
