MONTANA COLLECTION
Our Montana Collection celebrates big skys, open country and wild spaces. The Montana Collection features Lone Mountain in Big Sky Montana standing at 11,166 ft in the Madison Range of the Rocky Mountains. With over 5,800 acres of rideable terrain Big Sky Resort is one of the largest in the US with some of the biggest lines you can ski.
The resort has been developing groundbreaking lift access and in turn opening up unreal terrain. In 1995 Big Sky put in the Lone Peak tram which gives high alpine access to the highest peak in Big Sky. The terrain opened up with the addition of the tram is second to none. In 2018 Big Sky put in the Ramcharger 8, North America's first high speed 8 person lift that takes you to the summit of Andesite Mountain. This spirit of innovation, adventure and bravery made Big Sky the perfect choice for our next glass.

This year Big Sky is celebrating 25 years of the Lone Peak Tram. This outstanding feat to put an aerial tram to the summit on Lone Mountain at over 11,000 ft is no small task. Watch the movie below to better understand this extreme undertaking that opened up some of the most radical terrain in North America. From The Big Couloir to The Gullies and a spectacular view of the A-Z Chutes a good day on the Tram is second to none.
The real crux of operating this unreal terrain at Big Sky is opening it safely. The Big Sky Ski Patrol team works tirelessly to put the safety of the guest above everything. Check out the video below to get a feel for the work that goes into some of the best turns of your life.

BYEP provides opportunities for vulnerable teenagers in the Gallatin Valley to experience success and become contributing members of our community through group mentorship and experiential adventures. Their adventure-based mentorship program is designed to strengthen and support these participants in all aspects of their lives, and it starts by meeting them halfway - giving them something inspiring, if not downright awesome, to do every weekend.Â
Working with community partners, BYEP takes participants skiing and snowboarding at Big Sky Resort a total of 10 times each winter, providing them with 100% of the gear, transportation, and education they need to shred - all completely free of charge for each participant’s family.Â
