The variety of black and grey tones woven into the blanket define the geologic features of Mt. Hood. The lightest shades represent the current glaciers, perennial snow fields and glacial sediment, while the darker tones show the various types of volcanic rock that makes up Oregon's highest peak. The detailed topographic lines of Mt. Hood are woven into the blanket up to the summit at 11,249 ft in elevation.

We designed our blanket to work with Pendleton's jacquard weaving process which gives a unique inverse design on the front and back of the towel.
